A Dramatic fairy tale manor house hidden in a lush south Devon valley that boasts a fascinating medley of fortified towers, battlements and buttresses and was for 600 years the home of Gilbert family relatives of Sir Walter Raliegh. Its great kitchen offers a unique insight into medieval domestic life and it also features a delightful flowering garden. The buildings period charm led to it being used as a film location in 1995 for a production of Sense and Sensibility.
