Open to visitors and can also be booked for private and corporate functions. There is unrestricted access to the entire fort and its rabbit warren of passages, tunnels and 32 gun positions spread over four levels, some of which still contain real working cannon. The Fort's hosts displays where you can experience a soldier's life in the re-created Victorian and WWII barrack rooms, Victorian sergeant's quarters and guard room. There are Victorian costumes to dress up in and audio presentations through the tunnels truly bringing the Fort back to life. There is also an outdoor Adventure area with its very own castle and a cafe serving coffees, pastries and other light refreshments.
