Paignton Pier ::

The 780 ft (236 metre) pier at Paignton. Like any Victorian seaside resort Paignton neede a pier and this was built in 1879. Originally it was intended the pier at Teignmouth could be transported here but in the end local barrister Arthur Hyde Denby commissioned a new iron pier to be built
