Ashburton - North Street ::

The 'Bull Ring' end of North Street in Ashburton. The interesting looking ironmongers on the left was originally the Mermaid Inn where General Fairfax, the Civil War Roundhead leader stayed. The medieval, granite arched doorway is one of the original features.
