The tomb of Squire Richard Cabell in the churchyard at Buckfastleigh. Cabell died in 1677 was beleived to have been in league with the Devil. The strange mausoleum built around the tomb was inteded to contain his unquiet spirit.
Conan Doyle took inspiration for 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' from stories of fire breathing black dogs howlin beside the tomb.
