The Butterwalk - Dartmouth

The Butterwalk in Dartmouth. Built between 1635 and 1640 it has a classic Tudor carved wooden fascia supported on granite columns.

Charles II held court in the Butterwalk whilst sheltering from a storm in 1671. The room now forms part of Dartmouth Museum with much of the interior surviving from that time, along with one or two ghosts
