Derry's Clock and The Bank - Plymouth

Hidden away behind the Theatre Royal is Derry's Clock and the Bank.

The clock was built in 1862 with money from businessman (and later mayor) William Derry.

The bank was formerly the Wilts and Dorset Banking Company but is now a pub.

Both are rare survivors of the Blitz which destroyed virtually the entire city centre. Before the war this was the bustling very centre of the city
