Postbridge

Located practically in the centre of Dartmoor is Postbridge. There is not a great deal to the village and it is the bridges over the East Dart river it is known best for.

The clapper bridge is one of the finest you will see anywhere and dates back to the 13th or 14th century when miners and farmers built many of these around the moor.

The road bridge behind dates back to the 1780's
